Q
WHERE AM I LOCATED?
I have a home studio based in Eastleigh, Southampton, UK.
The address will be provided upon booking a treatment.
Avoid:Alcohol 24 hours before your appointmentSkin products containing Vitamin E, 1 week prior Aspirin and other NSAID's 1 week prior (unless you are prescribed these for medical purposes, then please consult with your practitioner)Please attend your appointment without makeup on. Rhiannon uses an antimicrobial cleanser on the treatment area before all injectable treatments to ensure a safe & clean procedure.
Filler longevity depends on many factors such as:The area treated, lifestyle e.g. hydration / smoking / alcohol & caffeine intake, sun exposure, health and wellness, the product used as well as how quickly the body naturally metabolises. Typically, you can expect results to last as listed below.Lip Filler / Augmentation: 6-12 monthsNasolabial Folds: 6-9 monthsMarionette Lines: 6-9 monthsVertical Lip Lines / Smoker's Lines: 6-9 months
After treatment, please expect to have swelling and bruising. Lumps & bumps can also be common due to the nature of the treatment. This will last approximately 1 week and should have completely subsided by 2 weeks. If you still have concerns after 2 weeks, please contact your practitioner and we will schedule a complimentary review to achieve optimum results. At Pure Aesthetix we always provide clients with arnica gel to relieve bruising and aftercare to refer to as needed. You can also apply an icepack to the area to reduce after effects. We advise to have Dermal Filler treatments at least 2 weeks before a 'big event' that you want to look your best for!
Unfortunately, we do not provide Dermal Filler treatments to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding due to the insufficient amount of research available surrounding the effects it may have on the fetus. However, at RHIAESTHETICS we understand the importance of selfcare in this time and do provide other treatments that are more suitable.
We use the brand Revolax for our fillers. These are Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based fillers, naturally derived (opposed to animal derived) using high purity HA and a crosslinking technology to best integrate into human skin tissue. At RHIAESTHETICS we give confidence to all our clients that only the very best CE marked products and materials are purchased from trusted pharmacies and suppliers.
If you experience pain, take Paracetamol rather than Ibuprofen as this anti-inflammatory medication thins the blood increasing the likelihood of bruising. Avoid having Facials, Microdermabrasion, Microneedling, Derma Rolling etc. for 2 weeks post-procedureAvoid sun exposure or sunbedsAvoid skin care products containing Retinol or Vitamin E for up to a week afterAvoid alcohol 24 - 48 hours post-procedureDo not exercise or any activity that makes you swear for 24 hours post-procedureAvoid extreme heats changes, hot or cold (e.g. saunas, steam rooms, ice showers/bathsAvoid massaging the area, including being gentle while applying skin care & makeup)Avoid travelling by airplane for 2 weeks post-procedure to minimise the risk of unexpected bruising due to the change in pressure.Do drink plenty of water and keep well hydrated
Please feel free to contact Rhiannon any time after your procedure, but do allow a minimum of 2 weeks for the appearance to fully settle. If after this period you are still unsure of your result please contact me to arrange a complimentary review appointment where we can talk about your treatment options*.Please make sure you only opt for a procedure after thorough research and careful consideration of Aesthetic Practitioners - their knowledge and style of work. *Alternative treatment will incur normal charges
Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body so Dermal Filler products are typically very safe to use. However, there is always a risk with injectable treatments as each individual's anatomy varies; hence why it is important you are confident your Aesthetic Practitioner is fully trained, qualified and knowledgeable about the facial anatomy to have the safest treatment possible.
A Vascular Occlusion is the lack of blood flow to an area, caused by a complete or partial blockage in a blood vessel. In the instance of using Dermal Fillers, this may happen by injecting directly into a blood vessel (artery, arteriole, capillary, venule or vein) and limiting the flow of oxygenated blood to an area. Left untreated this could lead to Necrosis (tissue death). It is necessary to immediately dissolve the filler until your practitioner is certain the blood is freely flowing as normal. At RHIAESTHETICS, we assure you are in safe hands as an aspirating technique and capillary refill checks are completed throughout your procedure to limit the possibility of causing a Vascular Occlusion. In the event of an occlusion, we have an emergency reversal protocol to immediately dissolve the filler using Hyaluronidase.
We ask that if it is your first time having a procedure with us please book a consultation so your practitioner Rhiannon can be certain you are fit for a Dermal Filler procedure, discuss your desired outcome and make a treatment plan if necessary. If you are an existing client, a consultation is not needed every time, unless you are unsure of the procedure needed for best results and would like information to make an informed decision.
