Anti-wrinkle injectables are made from a drug made called Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) which has been FDA approved and used for both medical and cosmetic purposes for over 20 years with no known adverse effects.​BOTOX® has been used for many years in both cosmetic and medical treatments. It is the most popular non-surgical treatment in the UK and in the world by far.

Botulinum toxin injections can last for several months (3 - 4 months on average). Top ups will be required after this time to maintain desired effects. The effects of treatment depend on each client's response, with repeat treatments have been shown to have a longer effect.​Most clients continue to have treatment regularly and book appointments every 12 weeks to ensure results are maintained.

Most side effects are short-lived and mild, the most common being mild bruising to the site of the injection. Some patients also report mild headaches shortly after the treatment, but these usually subside within 24 hours.

At RHIAESTHETICS, we work alongside a prescriber to ensure you receive expert care. A consultation is necessary for you to meet and discuss the areas you would like treated, facial mapping and for myself and the prescriber to decide whether you are a suitable client with no contraindications likely to cause concern for the procedure. ​Prescriptions last for 6 months. Most clients have anti-wrinkle injections every 3-4 months so your prescription will be active for this period, however a consultation and new prescription will be required each time you have anti-wrinkle injections after the 6 month period.
